After a few years of not dressing up, people from my [then] girlfriend Keirsten's work were throwing a costume party, and we came up with the brilliant idea of going as husband and wife, only she'd be the groom and I'd be the bride. This of course opened ourselves up to a whole bunch of "are you going to wear the real thing someday?" comments at the party, but we endured. We got my wedding dress from the salvation army while she wore my music tux. I had the 'pleasure' of curling my hair, wearing makeup and heels (how do women wear those things?!?) and of course, the sock-stuffed bra.
